Summary

WHO IS THE HERO OF AGES?

To end the final empire and restore freedom, Vin killed the Lord Ruler。 But as a result, the Deepness — the lethal form of the ubiquitous mists — is back, along with increasingly heavy ashfalls and ever more powerful earthquakes。 Humanity appears to be doomed。

Having escaped death only by becoming a Mistborn himself, Emperor Elend Venture hopes to find clues left behind by the Lord Ruler that will allow him to save the world。 Meanwhile, Vin is consumed with guilt at accidentally releasing the mystic force known as Ruin from the Well。

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfils all the promise of the first two books, in a finale unmatched for originality and audacity。

9/10 Not a perfect book but a perfect ending to the series。

4。5 StarsAn incredible conclusion to the grand epic that is Mistborn Era 1。 If someone were to ask me what happens in Mistborn, I wouldn't be able to recall and describe it。 There are to many multifaceted events and characters Sanderson has magically glued together for that to be possible。 What I could do is describe this book made me feel。 A rollercoaster of an adventure I'd recommend to anyone。 What an unpredictable, divine ending。 4。5 StarsAn incredible conclusion to the grand epic that is Mistborn Era 1。 If someone were to ask me what happens in Mistborn, I wouldn't be able to recall and describe it。 There are to many multifaceted events and characters Sanderson has magically glued together for that to be possible。 What I could do is describe this book made me feel。 A rollercoaster of an adventure I'd recommend to anyone。 What an unpredictable, divine ending。 。。。more

I am a fan when books have final and dramatic endings。 I also really love when consequences are permanent and characters don't have a happy ending。 I am a fan when books have final and dramatic endings。 I also really love when consequences are permanent and characters don't have a happy ending。 。。。more

I know I should stop being surprised at how well Sanderson manages to tie everything together so well but here we are again in awe of how everything came together。 Every character who makes it this far has gone through an incredible journey and I almost want to just reread from the beginning to see just how much they’ve all changed, well the ones who made it to the end anyway。 While I loved the political nature of the first two books I’m really happy this one had a lot of emphasis on all the rel I know I should stop being surprised at how well Sanderson manages to tie everything together so well but here we are again in awe of how everything came together。 Every character who makes it this far has gone through an incredible journey and I almost want to just reread from the beginning to see just how much they’ve all changed, well the ones who made it to the end anyway。 While I loved the political nature of the first two books I’m really happy this one had a lot of emphasis on all the religions Sazed has dedicated his life to studying, I loved how everyone was split up so we could really cover a lot of ground and be able to dive deeper into everyone’s specific stories。 Sazed has always been a favourite of mine and his personal journey, especially through his grief to the point of breaking, in this book is just perfectI loved following our crew especially Spook and Sazed but I really loved learning more about the Inquisitors, Kandra, and Koloss and I’m really glad they had a lot of page time。 It took me longer than usual to read this because I wouldn’t let myself pick it up if I didn’t have a couple hours to read because I had a very difficult time putting it down each time, it’s also why I didn’t let myself read it before bed。 The ending of the book was a non-stop emotional rollercoaster, I can’t remember the last time I cried reading a book and it didn’t happen this time but we got pretty close。 Unpopular opinion, probably: I don’t even like Vin and Elend, I think they’re kind of boring, they’re too powerful and it leads a lot of their sections to just being dull, and I don’t even like them as a couple and they still got me in the feels。 。。。more

I want to give it 10 stars。 Easily in my top 3 fantasy series of all time, along with Lord of the Rings and The Dark Tower。 It is profound and powerful。 The whole series was building to this book, and it explored so much。 It moved me。 I had goosebumps the entire final 40 pages。 I have so much to say but in lieu of dropping spoilers, I'm just going to say this was incredible and will be reread by me with great frequency。 I want to give it 10 stars。 Easily in my top 3 fantasy series of all time, along with Lord of the Rings and The Dark Tower。 It is profound and powerful。 The whole series was building to this book, and it explored so much。 It moved me。 I had goosebumps the entire final 40 pages。 I have so much to say but in lieu of dropping spoilers, I'm just going to say this was incredible and will be reread by me with great frequency。 。。。more

it was a solid book。 i just hated the ending。 maybe would have been more generous if:1。 this wasn't the second 800 page book i have read in two days that has had an ending with some of my most hated tropes2。 if wasn't like, ages long3。 i haven't had a nightmare month and a halfwhat could brandon sanderson do about it? we are both going to have to die mad about it it was a solid book。 i just hated the ending。 maybe would have been more generous if:1。 this wasn't the second 800 page book i have read in two days that has had an ending with some of my most hated tropes2。 if wasn't like, ages long3。 i haven't had a nightmare month and a halfwhat could brandon sanderson do about it? we are both going to have to die mad about it 。。。more

Moving powerful emotional climax that may be an end or beginning depending on you’re interpretation。

I'm not sure what to say about this one, but maybe the fact that it took me almost two years to read it says enough。 It's not that I thought it was bad, it wasn't。 It's that there was way too much explaining (but I guess that was needed to make all the weird plot twists make sense), quite important new plot elements were suddenly introduced which felt kind of tagged on, but mostly I just didn't feel connected to any of it, especially emotionally。 The characters seemed almost pure plot devices, w I'm not sure what to say about this one, but maybe the fact that it took me almost two years to read it says enough。 It's not that I thought it was bad, it wasn't。 It's that there was way too much explaining (but I guess that was needed to make all the weird plot twists make sense), quite important new plot elements were suddenly introduced which felt kind of tagged on, but mostly I just didn't feel connected to any of it, especially emotionally。 The characters seemed almost pure plot devices, which had its charms, but ultimately just didn't touch me that much。 I still really enjoyed the concept and story idea, it just felt kinda weird and slow to me。2。5 stars 。。。more

Anubhab Barik

Better than previous book, worse than first book。 300+ pages are a bit too much to remind the reader what happened in book 1。

Mark Nutting

I loved the whole trilogy! Very unique fantasy world。

Douglas De Souza

Good end to the first series。 However the plot meanders without continuing the feeling of mystery enough。 Because there are mysteries to be uncovered。

Marianna Wallace

Wow。

Епична… няма какво друго да кажа。 Най-добрата книга на Сандерсън, която съм чел до сега!
